The door to JK Rowling's "private room" on her official site
is open.
In the past, this has revealed important new information about the next book, so we might learn something about book 7 soon.
From the ongoing discussion (spoiler warning) in HPANA's forums, some people may not be able to get inside (for technological reasons - caching, cookies, etc). Be patient and good luck!
If you really don't want to do it yourself, highlight the area below for the complete solution:
---====Go to JKRowling.com. Click on the eraser on her desk.
Click on the vase. A rock appears. Drag the rock to the mirror and smash it. A key is revealed. Put the key in the door's lock.
Open the note, and then repair the mirror by typing "reparo".
Click on the door in the mirror (to close it), and the main door opens!
Then there's... a black thing with a gold thing on it. Click and drag the gold thing to point straight up.
Take the W.O.M.B.A.T. quiz!
Get a student ID code.... and then?

I think the test was more of a survey and she's going to get teh results because most of those questions im guessing people guessed on (i know i did on several) so its probably for her own research.

Thanks guys for your help. It works if you don't use the link from hpana. Just type the site address yourself. It wont work if you don't have the potions. It is easy once you work out what to do. I just took the test , but not sure how i did.

I totally lamed out and cheated on getting in. The test was great...I do think there will be some kind of results forthcoming and of course everyone here will want to know how everyone else did! Could be some kind of April Fool's thing, but if this fun exam was a joke, I'd like to see more of these kinds of jokes on the site!

I did the test. Bet I sucked. I rushed through it in about ten minutes. Pity there wasn't more there and no clues whatsoever to book seven. But I did like the fact the test was called W.O.M.B.A.T. and had a super cute (I think it was a) Common Wombat (best known, looked like it) wearing one of those uni hats!

You wont be able to do it unless you start with 2 potions. Use the potions to make the plant grow. When the plant has grown there will be a rock under it . Use the rock to smash the mirror. I found when I used the link from hpana it wouldn’t work and I couldn’t smash the mirror. When I typed the address in myself it did work. If you have the potion you will be fine. Make sure to keep tipping it into the plant.
