Earlier this evening the Nickelodeon's 2006 Kid’s Choice Awards was held
and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire won the ‘Movie of the Year’ award and the sixth book in the Harry Potter series, Half-Blood Prince won for the ‘Book of the Year.'
You can read the press release here, sad to say but no video or acceptance speech from any of the cast was shown. Thanks to everyone who emailed.

That is great that the Harry Potter movie won the award. I'm suprised that Nickelodeon also gives out awards for books, but hey that is a good thing!

Oh, that's fantastic! They well deserved it. Well done to them. I admit, I'm surprised to hear that Nickolodeon gives out book prizes, but I'm not complaining seen as how they've won it.

I knew Harry Potter would win at the Kids Choice Awards, even if it didn't win at the Academy Awards. (which is a bummer-I think they should let me into the Academy, I'd persuade people to vote for the movies I've actually seen-i.e. none of the Best Picture Films.)

Like I said, "Thank you, United States Government!" Seventeen and under cannot vote, seventeen and under cannot vote! Haha! I'm glad HP won for best book (that award being truly deserved), but if Harry Potter won for best movie, then the Underworld has frozen over all of earth... that would explain the chilly weather.... I'd also like to thank the Academy for not giving the Oscar to Harry, at least justice is being served somewhere on this planet. Off-topic... meh, no need to reiterate.

Congradulations! It's very cool that HP won in both categories. I definately thought GOF would win in the movie category, but there were so many good books in the other category. I'm glad HP won; I voted for the movie and the book, so I'm glad they won. Congrats!
