Daniel Radcliffe sent out a new newsletter
to fans recently and mentioned that Harry Potter director David Yates is fantastic and that actress Imelda Staunton, who will be portraying Prof. Umbridge, is brilliant. He also updates his fans with his recent music tastes as well as thanks his fans for his most recent gifts.

this filmis going to be great! not as good as the books, but who thinks the films are better than the books?????? not me! well, whoever this Imelda Staunton woman is, everyone seems to like her, so i hope she will bring praise onto the real character. she's got to be fierce to be umbridge!!! i think its quite cute that dan actually takes the fans seriosuly and gives them information from time to time. it keeps us all in the game!!!

I had no doubts about Imelda Staunton being a brilliant actress, but I must admit I wasn't sure what to believe about this David Yates (since I've never heard about him before)... -so I'm very happy to hear from Dan that he's so good!! :D

That's great to hear. Dan's really nice to his fans. I can't wait to see Imelda Staunton play Umbridge. I hope she can act evily. I can't wait until the movie comes out to see how they incorperate the book, i hope they dont cut out too much from the book though.

Ok....I`ve read it and its very interesting! I wonder if he rathers Yates to Newell or is he the best so far....Thats sounds good for OITP! And I guessed Imeada would be brilliant,she looks it.Yes! This might be another great movie,maybe even beating GOF!

This is really good news. Umbridge is such an important anddefined character in the book I would hate to think that the actress who portayed her wouldn't be amazing. The movie would lose so much if she wasn't done a certain way or jsut right.
