Harry Potter author JK Rowling has updated her diary
today with news about how difficult it is to find paper in Edinburgh, visiting the Order of the Phoenix set and talking to the actors.
Below is an excerpt of the entry:
It was exciting to see some of the new Order of the Phoenix sets, but most of all to see the actors again - slightly unnerving to realise that nearly all of them are taller than me now (I speak, of course, of the teenagers; Michael Gambon was always taller than me, and very lovely he looked in his new robes, too.) Apart from the pleasure of seeing Tom Felton, Devon Murray, Alfred Enoch, Sitara Shah (and waving through the door at Bonnie Wright, who was busy being tutored), I had a great time talking to Dan and Matthew about books, Rupert about how his sisters never wind him up, Oliver and James about how difficult they find it to wind each other up, and Emma about Hermione's love life. Also met, and had a long chat, with Evanna Lynch (Luna), about whom there is only one possible thing to say: perfect.
The Rumours section has also been updated as well as the Extras section with a piece about the proliferation of skinny young woman in the media. Thanks to everyone who emailed us.

I thought Jo's comment on thin girls was really great. We need much more of this sort of thing. Too many girls (and even boys) now believe that to be thin is their number one priority in life. That encounter with the woman she hadn't seen was especially illuminating. Go Jo!

I'm so, so jealous of Evanna! But I agree she's completely perfect! I'm glad JKR thinks so too - that will make everyone who says she isn't right for the part eat their words! But she gets to have long talks with Jo! And be on the set! She really deserves it.

Weasley is my king!!!! Yeah, I went to the open casting, but I didn't even get a picture! My friends all say I look like Luna, though, and I dont look that different from Evanna... but I think she is definately the best for the part! I cant wait either!

It is great that JK talks with the cast about the book. If she thinks that Evanna is perfect, then she is perfect. She talked to Emma about Hermione's love life. I wonder what they talked about, perhaps Ron and Hermione getting together!!???!! I doubt it, JK wouldn't want to spoil a major plot (to us Ron/Hermione fans) in the book!

I keep missing going to her web site. I'm glad she can take time off to visit the sets and talk to the actors that portray the characters she created.
I'm also glad they found the "perfect" Luna. She is one of my favorite characters.

Well if JKR thinks Evanna is "perfect" then Warner Bro' did a great job in choosing someone for the part, as usual. Im sure Evanna will be great....and remember Luna is one of JKR's fav characters. (I am surprised at how hard it is for JKR to find paper, good luck on the hunt

Awww! That's an amazing diary entry! And her saying the "Evanna is perfect" makes me EXTREMELY eager to watch the next film. ARRRRRG! I need to watch it so bad! I love the way she said "Perfect" at the end. I was actually having doubts if Evanna would be a good Luna, but for Jo Rowling to say that she's perfect takes all my doubts away!

Evanna is probably SO happy, as she is a crazy fan like us!! :) I would die of happiness to MEET JKR, let alone be considered the perfect person for the part!
