Harry Potter author JK Rowling has updated her diary
today with news about how difficult it is to find paper in Edinburgh, visiting the Order of the Phoenix set and talking to the actors.
Below is an excerpt of the entry:
It was exciting to see some of the new Order of the Phoenix sets, but most of all to see the actors again - slightly unnerving to realise that nearly all of them are taller than me now (I speak, of course, of the teenagers; Michael Gambon was always taller than me, and very lovely he looked in his new robes, too.) Apart from the pleasure of seeing Tom Felton, Devon Murray, Alfred Enoch, Sitara Shah (and waving through the door at Bonnie Wright, who was busy being tutored), I had a great time talking to Dan and Matthew about books, Rupert about how his sisters never wind him up, Oliver and James about how difficult they find it to wind each other up, and Emma about Hermione's love life. Also met, and had a long chat, with Evanna Lynch (Luna), about whom there is only one possible thing to say: perfect.
The Rumours section has also been updated as well as the Extras section with a piece about the proliferation of skinny young woman in the media. Thanks to everyone who emailed us.

YAY, J.K.R thinks Evanna is PERFECT for Luna's part!!!!!! :D :D :D I'm delighted to her that, because I also thought she seemed really suited to the character, since I first saw her picture!!!
Oh, and I absolutely love Jo's style & humor!! -that paragraph about not finding paper in Edinburgh is hilarious! ...not to mention the Rumours about "Memerson"....!! ;D

Wow, I can't wait to see all the characters working together. I don't know why, but for some reason I have always loved Luna's character, so I glad they chose a 'perfect' actor!!!

Yeah! I read it like ages ago but I can't say I ain't glad 'cause well her paper issues got solved so she can keep writing book 7! An well I think its pretty cool that she stepped by to chat with the actors and well I can imagine how tall they all are now and well it akes me oh so glad that JK thinks that Evanna is perfect for the part 'cause that means that she really is fit for playing Luna and I cant wait to see evrything & everyone on Order of the Phoenix!!

I am glad the author and everyone else liked her. She is the perfect Luna Lovegood. I think she will be brilliant in the 5th film. I am also very glad that JKR posted that skinny-obssessed rant on the extra stuff page. It just goes to show that people, mainly girls, should get their priorities straight.

WOW!!!JKR's Stamp of approval!! Evanna rocks!!!! I knew it the first time I saw her picture. She looked exactly as I had pictured Luna! Plus, she's such a fan of the books that I'm sure she lacks no inspiration on how to portray Luna on screen.

hmm cool.... i deffinaltly was not a big fan of her when she was picked because she wasnt how i imagined Luna but i supose no real person could realli look like how i imagined Luna.... but she realli has grown on me so much =D and she is Luna now i re-read the books and imagine Evvana but with my luna touch heh... im soo happy for her and if JK Rowling thinks she is perfect she is good enough for me =D
