thereturnoftheking, I think you have just paid Rupert the best compliment he can ever receive as an actor =) One that he should be getting a lot of, for a long time now.

I join Tao in suggesting you see Thunderpants -- its a silly movie to most, and even to me has one of the most ridiculous plots -- but if you watch it only to see what Rupert is capable of doing -- you will be amazed. He created a character that will totally NOT remind you of Ron Weasley -- he changed his way of speaking, even the tone of his voice, to bring out one of the most lovable nerds you'll meet onscreen -- he was like a cross between Doc Emmett Brown of the "Back to the Future" movies, and Napoleon Dynamite who's got nothing on him, considering that Rupert was only around 12 years old at that time.

I really want to see this movie. He's really a terrific actor...I think out of all the potter actors, he's proabably the one that will be able to cross-over the easiest.

MWeasley09 the answer to your question is that it will be showing exclusively at the Tribeca Film Festival (NYC). I'm sure the full-length movie will be released afterward, or it will be posted full-length on the producer's website.

Tao says:

MWeasley09, and anyone else wondering, the deal is this. Most films that are not released by major movie companies like the WB have to go this route to get distributors. When it played in Dublin, it got one for the UK and Ireland. I've been in contact with the person handling the press for the film and he believes that once it plays in Tribeca it will have one for the US. Once it plays at The Cannes, I'm sure it will get other distributors for other countries, so many of us should be lucky enough to see it. And currently the thought process is that the UK (and the US) should have it in theatres later this year.
