Actor Jim McManus
will portray the bit part of Albus Dumbledore's brother Aberforth in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, according to The Leaky Cauldron.
The unnamed bartender at the Hog's Head in Phoenix (who we later learn is Aberforth) witnesses the inaugural meeting of the student-led Dumbledore's Army there.

Hmmm maybe the movie version of Aberforth is going to hint at the use of Aberforth in a later movie. *laughs*

I'm pretty sure he would be a good choice for the role..
I have not seen any of his previous works but I have lernt he was in an episode of DR WHO in 1977 (not relevant or interesting I know but..)
We just have to wait for Confirmation from WB!
As for the possibilty of Aberforth having a much bigger role..it's a possibility....he could be more involved in the demise of Voldermort!!!

That's cool that they are casting an Aberforth because that probably means that he becomes important in the last book. They wouldn't even mention that Dumbledore had a brother if it wasn't important to the story.....

How come the guy doesn't have a picture? Is he some sort of a surprise for us in the next movie? I want to see what he looks like even though he doesn't have any lines. He shouldn't have any lines since he didn'ty say nothing in the book except for how much the cost of their order was.

That's awesome, but Aberforth Dumbledore doesn't really have a big part in the book, let alone the movie. You only really HEAR about him in the book...you never actually SEE him. Well, maybe he'll be a clue to what's up ahead...you just never know about these things! Good luck to him and the rest of the cast and crew of Harry Potter!

This came as a complete surprise. I never really thought about it before but could Aberforth have a big role in book 7. He's only really mentioned before, but this could mean big things for theorist and rumorers alike. Why is he in the movie? What's he going to do? Is he going to go from a small part to a big part?
