Another Harry Potter actor was in New York this week to attend the Tribeca Film Festival. Alan Rickman (Prof. Snape in the Harry Potter movies) attended the premiere of his movie Snow Cake
last night with actress Sigourney Weaver.
You can view some hi-res images of the event here
courtesy of Getty Images, and a clip from the movie here
.
Thanks to Michelle who sent us the last picture from the screening, she also let us know that Alan was also in town to find a new theatre venue for his play, My Name Is Rachel Corrie. Thanks to everyone else who emailed.

How great is it that there are so many extremely talented actors in the Harry Potter movie series? It really is to their credit that they can handle so many projects and still give a full-out great performance in each projects and keep it fresh!

Ooh Alan. Still looks like Snape. I hope his sexy dead voice hasn't cracked due to old age, I'm sure it didn't. But good to see him again, old Severus...=/

Sometimes I can't believe some of the titles of the movies he is in after seeing him in Die Hard. Snow Cake and My Name Is Rachel Corrie just don't seem to fit in my mind. I mean, I've seen him in other things and he's been wonderful, don't get me wrong, but it's just one of those word association things...forget it.

Wow, Alan Rickman... yipppeee. Snowcake is a horrible name for a movie, but Alan looks good as always. Sigourney also looks great! She aged very well.

MWbashfulAR says:
Sigourney Weaver is married last I heard and he has had an uncommon, long-term relationship with Rima Horton whom he met in college but never married nor had children with.
And I don't understand quite what was meant about not believing the titles of movies he is in following Die Hard. But I will take it to mean that you are surprised he plays the nice guys like Colonel Brandon. I like the timid, shy guy in him, but I love the crazed nutter that he plays too, like Snape and Rasputin and Metatron and Dr. Lazarus and Sheriff Georgie. They're more fun and show he has the best sense of humor.

I was there and saw Driving lessons (Staring Rupert Grint) today, it was great, very dramatic and Alan Rickman was there, he did not stay much, just was there for about 10 minutes. Probably was just in the area and wanted to help promote the movie.
