Another Harry Potter actor was in New York this week to attend the Tribeca Film Festival. Alan Rickman (Prof. Snape in the Harry Potter movies) attended the premiere of his movie Snow Cakeopens in new window last night with actress Sigourney Weaver.

You can view some hi-res images of the event hereopens in new window courtesy of Getty Images, and a clip from the movie hereopens in new window.

Thanks to Michelle who sent us the last picture from the screening, she also let us know that Alan was also in town to find a new theatre venue for his play, My Name Is Rachel Corrie. Thanks to everyone else who emailed.

good for him that he has a lot of projects planned to keep him busy. I still can't believe that the guy is old. Except for those few white hair, he still looks young. Especially in the movies. I thought that he was only in his thirties or fourties or something.

He really is a good actor. I wasn't aware of him until I saw Harry Potter for the first time, though. After that I've found him in a few movies. I really like how he plays villains, he is really good at it, he's an absolute perfect villain! He was awesome in Robinhood: Prince of Thieves, and Rasputin for sure!
