Another Harry Potter actor was in New York this week to attend the Tribeca Film Festival. Alan Rickman (Prof. Snape in the Harry Potter movies) attended the premiere of his movie Snow Cake
last night with actress Sigourney Weaver.
You can view some hi-res images of the event here
courtesy of Getty Images, and a clip from the movie here
.
Thanks to Michelle who sent us the last picture from the screening, she also let us know that Alan was also in town to find a new theatre venue for his play, My Name Is Rachel Corrie. Thanks to everyone else who emailed.

Alan Rickman is wonderful. I hope he shouted a hello to Rupert while he was there. I'm sure he did.
I'm happy to say I am writing this from my brand spanking new computer while drinking a cold brew. Nothing could be better.

Well...Well...Well....Alan Rickman is so much better looking that Snape and probably nicer in temperment. I remember when he wore that dress in Michael Collins. Alan you have come a long way baby.

How weird is it to look at Alan Rickman without his 'Severus Snape' make-up? He looks so different. I think the make-up makes him look a heap younger... well, then of course, Snape is in his thirties and Alan Rickman's in his fifties...
How did I get into that?

Everyone just seems to be popping up on the radar right now. I guess because of filming, the actors popping up around and about helps the publicity for the film... I just think they should all visit more often. =D

Oh, I wish I lived in New York, for I would love to meet Alan in person, considering he is my favorite actor of all time. I am certainly eager to see Snow Cake - I'm fortunate I live in a large city that gets just about every film.
I also wish him the best in his play.
