Reports from the set of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix have been few and far between, but this morning a report
appeared online stating that Emma Thompson will reprise her role as Professor Trelawney and that the Knight Bus will also be making an appearance in the movie.
According to HPFZ from an extra in the film:
I have definite news that the scene where Trelawney is sacked by Umbridge will appear. It takes place in the courtyard (the one used at the end of GOF) and features Filch, Trelawney, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Umbridge and all of the main student cast (however, none, apart from Harry, play a big role in the scene).
During the scene, a group of extras (including me) have to stand on the steps outside the courtyard's main doors while [the teachers] and Harry have to pass through us. Trelawney is standing traumatised over a large group of her suitcases. (However, she isn't wailing and screaming like a mad person as described in the book. She's just standing upset and overwhelmed.)
I can also confirm that there's a Knight Bus stored on one of the sets, [and that it is slightly different from the one in Prisoner of Azkaban.
As of now we can't confirm the authenticity of this report, but if true the movie sounds like it will be fun to watch.

Well, the problem with this would be that, even if they film a scene like this, there is no guarantee that the scene will make it through the editing. It may end up on the cutting room floor or on the "deleted scenes" on the DVD. I would be true to the book to include it, though.

Well, it should be. I do not want that sacking scene be deleted, it is a pivotal scene in the movie.

Emma Thompson made a wonderful Trelawny. I'm so glad to see her back. Loved the bus as well with that shrunken head. That shrunken head stole the scene away from that bus.

If this is true, then I will be very happy. Trelawney being sacked is one of the better parts of Order of the Phoenix. I wonder what the reason would be for cutting out the crying though. Maybe crying would make the scene too long, who knows.

Why are they changing Trelawney? In that scene, Harry wasn't playing a big role. He was just one of the audiences. They are not following the book. Its called Harry Potter. Not extracts from Harry Potter but very different. I hope that this is only a rumor.

I almost forgot that the Knight Bus was in OotP. Glad to read that that's one more thing they're keeping from the books.
Somehow I have a feeling that the Trelawny scene won't be much like I pictured.

How could they not have Trelawney in the movie, she gets fired and it's a big deal in the book because it has things grouped together in it.(AKA leds to other things).
I'm glad they have the Knight Bus scene. I think the knight Bus will add some comedy, and that will be good because Harry is almost always yelling in this book. It's very tense, but I like this book the best.
It's great to hear reports about the movie. It makes you want to see it even more, if thats possible.

Yea! I was really hoping that they would not leave that part out of the movie. And I understand that Rickman, Thompson and Imelda Staunson (Umbridge) all worked together in Sense and Sensibility. What an awesome cast!

Wait, who wrote that? Was it Emma Thompson? But it would be really cool if they didn't cut that scene out cause I have always wanted to see the Knight Bus (I don't think I saw it before) and Professor Trelawney again. I think that Emma was really good in the Prisoner of Azkaban.
