I wonder what "half-blood" translates as in Japanese? I don't know...the puzzling prince doesn't quite have the same ring to it....

I have ALWAYS had a facination with Japan and Japanese, especially since we had a Japanese husband and wife come to our school to teach for two years and they tought us some Japanese and some of the cultural things!
I have wanted to take Japanese back up again...I have HBP, COS and P/SS in Spanish so why don't I get one in Japanese too??? Hmm...

Wow, Harry Potter and the Puzzling Prince, translations are weird. I wonder why they decided to rename it? It's like the bloody Americans renaming Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, there was absolutely no reason for that! What's the problem, American's don't know what a philosopher is? I doubt it; that was just stupid. Taking liberties like that is in my opinion unexceptable. This however is a different. This is a translation from English to Japanese, and I'm sure they had a good reason for changing the title, after all, Japanese is quite the language.
It's got to be crappy having to wait so long for the latest Harry Potter to come out, though, I feel their pain!

This is cool that it will be written in Japanes, but I wonder why they changed the name to the [i]Puzzling Prince[i]? I don't speak Japanese, but I'm pretty sure there's is a konji for half and blood or something along that line.

That is so awesome that the book is being translated into different languages. My b/f is going to Japan for a year, maybe that will be my present when he comes back. I think it would be really cool to have HP in Japanese...

God, that's an awfully long time to wait to read Harry, and it'd be horrible to hear of the rest of the world with it, and not be able to have it because it takes so long to translate.

is that expensive or not? i don't know the value of a yen. but still, i could not have survived if i had to wait this long to read HP6. I feel bad for them. but then again, they probably only got the fifth book a long time after us...

That is great for them. I can't imagine waiting this long for it though. I would just go crazy with waiting! I wonder why it translates into the puzzling prince that is nothing like the meaning of Half-blood prince which is important. Oh well the story should still be near the same.
