A newly discovered dinosaur species has been named 'Dracorex hogwartsia' after the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, made popular in JK Rowling's Harry Potter books.
In a special

How in the world could the scienctific community have gone along with that one? It's an interesting foray into the bright scientific minds of our time. As if some wouldn't take this invidivually seriously any more. Hogwarts is in the annals of history forevermore!

COOL!!! Isn't is cool how J.K.R has effected the world. First she writes one of the most read, if not the most read, children's book ever. But she's effecting the world of science too!
Way to go Jo!

That sounds really great. Almost sounds fake though, i mean another dinosaur discovered after all these years. If it is true though- it's a great name.

Anyone else think that's a little wierd? I mean, even my hp obsession has its limits. since everything about hp is fake it seems innappropriate to name a real dinosaur after it...but then again...i agree that it will help youngsters remember the name of the dinosour haha.
