Bloomsbury publishing director Liz Calder said the next and final Harry Potter book is "likely" to be released in 2007... she hopes.
At the British Council's Creative Future
conference in India this week, Calder allegedly said as much in an interview with Indo-Asian News Service:
"One more 'Harry Potter' only but she (Rowling) said from the beginning that she would write seven. So she would not write another one after this. But Rowling would write other books for us," said Liz.
"The next 'Harry Potter' book is likely to come out in 2007. I hope so."
While Calder's comments are optimistic at best, she's one of only a handful of people other than Jo herself who could make such a weighty prediction.

I hope it is soon. It would be great if it was early 2007 since we know it wont be this year. It is so sad that she will not be writing anymore Harry Potters. We could hope she changes her mind in the future but it is likly not to happen.

I can't wait any longer than 2007 to find out what happens in Harry Potter, it would be sad if it didn't come out then. I'm still hoping for 7/7/07, and I'm sure a lot of other people are. I wonder what will happen... I think that either Harry will die, saving all his friends of coures, or Ron and Hermine will die and yes Voldemort will die. If Harry does die, which I'm leaning towards I hope he dies saving Ginny. Its good that the seventh book may come out in 2007 however it means that thats it. Once you read that last sentence, the final sentece, there is nothing more. (in the books i mean. I really will have mized feelings the day book seven comes out.

Well thats awesome. The only reason I don't want it to come out in 2007 is because I don't want the movie to take away from the book and vise versa, but whatever happens, happens.

Still, I wish she hadn't said "no more Harry potter books" i was hoping that Jo Rowling would write some more short stories and make a compilation for the faithful readers. You know, like the appendix Tolkein put into the Lord of the Rings with all the background stories.

Does this surely mean that JK Rowling may possibly be writing another amazing top-selling phenomenal book series? *claps* I HOPE SO!
I hope JK Rowling really takes her time on this book. I would hate for her to take all that time making the book with her amazing brain and then having people hate it. *closes eyes* I can wait as long as she needs me to...in order for it to be the best after all!
