Bloomsbury publishing director Liz Calder said the next and final Harry Potter book is "likely" to be released in 2007... she hopes.
At the British Council's Creative Future
conference in India this week, Calder allegedly said as much in an interview with Indo-Asian News Service:
"One more 'Harry Potter' only but she (Rowling) said from the beginning that she would write seven. So she would not write another one after this. But Rowling would write other books for us," said Liz.
"The next 'Harry Potter' book is likely to come out in 2007. I hope so."
While Calder's comments are optimistic at best, she's one of only a handful of people other than Jo herself who could make such a weighty prediction.

I hope that JKR takes as long as necessary to write the climactic end to the HP saga. Whatever it takes is fine with me so that all the loose ends are tied.
As to future books, she is definitely an author worth watching. I'll miss my good friends (the characters I've known so long now) but I would be happy to meet any character Jo introduces.

I don't mind the waiting to be honest. She should take her time. If it's going to be the best book of the series, JKR'll need a fair bit of time. It'll be sad though when you finally read it and you know theres not going to be anymore. But all the same, it'll be worth it in the end.

WoW!It so sad to think that there's one HP book left.It seems that it's just getting started.But lets look at the bright side,at least JK is going to write other books.But to tell you the truth it wouldn't be the same as our best-loved and most famous wizard as "Harry Potter".I will surely miss HP when the time comes to say goodbye.But for now,I'm sooooooo looking forward in reading the 7th book.That I really wish wiil come out next year.HP RULES!

Oooh, that is exciting!!! I really hope that the book will be here next year. I don't think I can wait any longer. But it probably wont be round the time of the fifth movie, as I think most of us fans would prefer the book over the movie.
