Rowling discusses last 'Potter' book, deaths

JK Rowling appeared on the Richard & Judy Show in the UK, and had a few things to say that may interest fans.
Some highlights from the show:
- Book 7 is NOT finished but she is well into it
- The final chapter for book 7 has changed slightly - two more people have died than she originally planned and one other person has got a reprieve
- Jo first wrote the final chapter in 1990
- She has regretted writing some parts where she may have boxed herself in, earlier in the series
- Jo says Ron is generally more popular than Harry -- remembers seeing an unofficial poll on a fansite reflecting this

- She would be willing to kill Harry in order to prevent future authors from writing sequels
- She was in denial of her fame for the first three books, shocked when the press made slight reference to Potter
- Jo mentioned she is indeed wealthy, but many stats are falsely reported
- Jessica, her daughter, is often pestered at school for upcoming book titles, plot details, etc.
- Jo has written half of another children's book in her spare time
- Her boggart would be that of Mrs. Weasley's: her children dead
- She made up the rules for quidditch in 30 minutes after a fight with her ex-boyfriend

I agree with her about some of the things that she wrote in her books might have 'boxed' her in. But i gotta say that I would really hate it if Harry dies. But I think that we will just have to see in the last book.

Two more people die in the last chapter than she thought would? As in maybe Harry, Ron, and Hermione all die. That's what I think. That's cool she's talking about the book. I can't wait until it comes out.

wow she is such a nice person, very pretty so down to earth but very secretive and also seems quiet shy but she's my idol such a strong person and shows theres hope for all of us I mean she used to live on £70 a week with a child and now 1 of the richest people in the world and it's like nothing has changed for her a turely turely amzing person. Well, that's very interesting. She will kill off two people that were not originally going to die. I am now waiting to see an online poll on which two people are going to bite the bullet (or wand tip).
I also believe that Draco may be the one to get the reprieve issued to him. Or Snape.

I was disappointed to read that she is willing to kill Harry though. It does seem to imply that she has not killed him yet, but I don't like that she is saying she would compromise the integrity of the series just to stop others from writing. If it was her original intent to kill him I could accept it, but if she does it just keep others from it I would be very disappointed in her.

I am surprised to hear her say that she regrets writing some parts in earlier books though.
She is willing to kill Harry in order for other authors to not make sequels? That is odd yet that sucks because I don't want Harry to die!!
If Ron and Hermione die, or the Weasley's die I am going to cry, throw up, have a tantrum, cry some more, cry with my best friend over the phone, throw the book, throw up on the book, and be forever scarred. FOREVER!!!!
I wonder who's gonna have the repreive, Harry's parents, Dumbledore, Sirius black, anyone who ever died in the series. It would be amazing to see Harry's parents come back, it would suck if they came back and Harry died. Now that would suck.

And, how could she think about killing Harry over something so ridicules?! Everyone will know the story about Harry, so why kill him! After everything he has been through! I will burn my books (not really but really wanting to) if she does kill Harry.
