For now, I believe the most likely character to have gotten a reprieve is Hermione. This is the character most based on herself. What other character would be most likely to get the reaction from her husband? Certainly, he could have other favorites, but it may be more maddening to wait now that we know there have been changes.

JKR may kill off Harry, although I hope she doesn't. However, she can't get rid of him. Other people or fanfic will write future stories about Harry Potter.
Both Conan Doyle(Sherlock Holmes), and Agatha Christie (Poirot), tried to kill off their heroes and were unsuccessful.
JKR may have created Harry, but, like a Mother, she can not control his total future and destiny.

After hearing the JKR interview, many people have said, "oh no, two more deaths!" Remember that she said that there were two additional deaths that she hadn't planned on. There may be also more coming that were planned in advance. So there may be several characters who die in the final battle.

She has regretted writing some parts where she may have boxed herself in, earlier in the series

Well book seven must be well on the way now, JKR doesn't usually make references unless the novel is well formed/shaped, so that's a bonus at least. I like the part about her ex-boyfriend/fight laying down the ground rules for Quidditch!
