Oh my gosh, this is so exciting! Lots of book 7 details! It is sad to think about those two more deaths. I really hope it's not Harry, Ron, or Hermione, but that's just wishful thinking. I do think that one of them may be killed off. Anyhow, I'm still excited about the last book (it's one of those bitter/sweet situations).
And I hope she doesn't kill Harry just so future authors wouldn't write sequels to HBP. I don't know about most other people, but I would never read an HP book written by another author! It wouldn't be the same...
I wonder what she regrets writing into the books...

I meant I hope JK doesn't kill Harry just so future authors wouldn't write sequels to the 7th book, not HBP. Silly me.=D

Two people dying....oh no! Wow. Ron is the most popular of the three? How did she do that? Well, I can't wait for the book to come out. I just have to think of which people she's killing off...Jeez that's gonna be stuck in my head for a long time...

Oh...NO! It better not be Ron or Hagrid. Or any other Weasley or Hermione or Harry or (oh gawd) Neville. Eeek! Luna! Why doesn't someone just kick me now!
Ron the most popular of the three. Why not, sidekicks are just as fun! It is amazing how long some works take to be published. Goes to show you that you should never give up.

I think it is interesting to note that JKR said two MORE people have died than she originally planned--that could mean anywhere from 2 on up will die....
Could the reprieve be for Percy? He was an awful git! Am I using that correctly? (English is my first language, but I speak American slang.)
I would think that the HP books are protected by copyright laws, so JKR shouldn't have to kill Harry to protect him from future authors. I think I would choose to boycott books about the HP world which were written without Jo's permission.

Excellent. Even though she doesn't reveal much, just having Jo talk about the final book is nice so that we can know that it is actually being written. =) Yay JK!

Well, okay, watching the video of the interview and seeing how she states the "reprieve" bit, clearly she means she was going to give someone the axe but chose not.
But her word choice suggests it was someone who deserves to die or needs to be punished. Whether or not it is because they were wrongly accused of a crime is up in the air. But I think Snape is still up there. He is very likely to die, but also very likely to be saved by Rowling for the sake of what he could do in the future. With Dumbledore gone and LV out of the picture, perhaps he could go on as a Potions textbook writer. He knows Potions better than anybody! And he could work from his home! ha ha!

Awww man, I bet one of the deaths is going to be one of the trio! That would be so sad! I don't even want to think about it. When you read the books, it's like they're your friends or something. I don't know if it's like that with anyone else, but that's how I always feel while reading the books. Well, I'm glad that's she's now well into writing the book. It'll be sad when she finally finishes it...

Maybe I'm wrong here but if I'm right in thinking she actually didn't say "2 more people are expected to die" but "now there are 2 people to die rather than one".

Well that's sad!!! As long as she doesn't kill the trio or draco i'll be ok. the reprieve will be either draco or snape, i'm leaning towards draco just becauase my feeling is snape won't make it.

I'm starting to get freeked out about the end of the series! I mean, being told to kill off Harry(!) to prevent authors from writing sequels, and the killing off of two more characters in her revision! This is getting scary! The end is near! I know I'm gonna cry when I get book seven. There is no doubt.

Yeah, I watched this earlier today. JK has an aura of appealing melancholia around her - very poetic, makes me think of Byron, especially when she mentioned writing in cafes. I think that some of those kids shouldn't have been there. There was one boy who even admitted that he hadn't read all the books. Hardly a good reflection of the fan base, don't you agree?

Yes, now we have some news on book seven. Two more deaths. Well that will be sad, I just hope that she does not kill off any of the trio or other characters. The people that I would like to see die are... Voldormort and Lucius. Well I hope that she does not kill off Harry. Maybe she will decide to make more books. Wow she wrote half of a childrens book! At least she is well into the book!! :)

I agree with her about some of the things that she wrote in her books might have 'boxed' her in. But i gotta say that I would really hate it if Harry dies. But I think that we will just have to see in the last book.
