As exclusively reported by HPANA back in April, composer Nicholas Hooper is set to write the music for director David Yates' Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced by Warner Bros. in a press release
today.
...composer Nicholas Hooper will create the film's score, reuniting him with director David Yates for whom he has scored multiple film and television projects, dating back more than 15 years. Hooper won a BAFTA Award for his work on the Yates-directed television movie The Young Visitors.
Helena Bonham Carter, who replaces Helen McCroy as Bellatrix Lestrange, was also confirmed.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is due out in 2007.

I always like the music for the films but didnt like it in POA when they got rid of the 'Harry Potter theme tune', that music is so associative and so clear in 'one's' head!

WHAT!??! Why not John Williams! I hate how they always change the composer! Patrick Doyle was good too, but I was really dissapointed for the fact John Williams didn't do the score. His music gave a different feeling to Harry Potter. Hopefully Nicholas Hooper keeps Hedwigs Theme because if he doesn't, I'll be the most angry in the WHOLE ENTIRE world!

Though, I still wish Danny elfman was doing the music. I love, love, love him.
And Helena as bellatrix!!! YAAAAAAY!!! Honestly, I can't really think of anyone else I'd prefer over Helena.
