As exclusively reported by HPANA back in April, composer Nicholas Hooper is set to write the music for director David Yates' Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced by Warner Bros. in a press release
today.
...composer Nicholas Hooper will create the film's score, reuniting him with director David Yates for whom he has scored multiple film and television projects, dating back more than 15 years. Hooper won a BAFTA Award for his work on the Yates-directed television movie The Young Visitors.
Helena Bonham Carter, who replaces Helen McCroy as Bellatrix Lestrange, was also confirmed.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is due out in 2007.

I am starting to get really excited about Order of the Phoenix... It needs to be 2007 right now, but alas, we still have almost an entire year before the movie is due to come out. But, as always, I'm sure the movie will be well worth the very long wait...

I loved The Young Visitors! That was a hilarious film (the book is even funnier). However, I wonder how this will effect the films. I do like the old themes but then, sometimes change is good and after four films that are relatively similar maybe something new would be good? I don't know.

Really looking forward as much as the seventh book...I just hope that most of the important part of the book is in most part of the filn :) And I'm really looking forward to see all of the new characters that has been added in the series :D

Helena Bonham Carter seems all right to me. I think she'll do a good job. What I don't understand is the constant composer changing. I suppose they think the music should keep changing as Harry grows, but I loved John Williams's music. It was so perfect for the HP world. Perhaps it would have been too light for the rest of the movies, which are darker, but still...Patrick Doyle's music was nice, too, but another?! Maybe the post is cursed...

The socre makes a big part of a film. I really hope that with their experience together they can make the score better than ever. They should be able to make everything amazing.
I dont recall ever seeing Bellatrix in any of the movies. Ill have to check them again.
