Author JK Rowling explicitly clarified tonight on her final appearance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City that Dumbledore is "definitely" dead.

She, along with Stephen King and John Irving, hosted another 6,000 people as they read from their books to raise money for charity. Rowling surprised fans with several tantalizing tidbits about the finale of her popular Harry Potter series.
While the authors all read from the same passages of their books as last night, their introductions were handled by different surprise celebrities. Actor-director Tim Robbins (who starred in The Shawshank Redemption) introduced King and Stanley Tucci welcomed Irving.
Rowling was brought on stage (again to standing ovation) by Kathy Bates, who proclaimed that the author took kids to places "Google does not go," describing the effect Rowling's books have had in shaping an entire generation of digital-age kids. At first fearful of the prospect of seeing the Potter books be made into the very digital creations they were meant to draw children away from (at the same time ruining imagination with special effects), Bates said fans "faithfully returned to the books" after seeing their incarnations light up the silver screen, and that Rowling had created "readers for life."
One audience member greeted Jo by yelling "Don't kill Harry," to which Jo responded: "Oh, no pressure then."
Tonight's audience was treated with much more informative and revealing answers than yesterday. Here are a few highlights (again, paraphrased):
Rowling later revealed that while she thought she had settled on a title for book 7, a new one occurred to her in the shower this afternoon. She declined to elaborate.
She also suggested there were to be plot twists in book 7 that she didn't think anyone has already or could possibly guess about.
Stephen King, reponding to a question about what he is afraid of, said: "When I picked up the Harry Potter books, I was surprised at the depth of the deatheaters." To which Rowling replied tauntingly: "I scared Stephen King."

That's surprised me quite a bit, actually, her revealing that now. I mean, I was about 99% sure he was dead, but usually she lets the rumours and theories circulate a bit. Well, I suppose it's been a year... but I really thought she'd let it lie until the 7th book.
Petunia intruiges me. And JK's given me more reason to believe that now. Hehe.
Hahahaha, and as somebody above pointed out, it means no Gambon in Movie 7. Hooray!!

I was always one of those people who was sure Dumbledore was, in fact, dead, but it wasn't until Jo confirmed it that I realized there was actually quite a bit of doubt in my mind. I found myself thinking, "What do you mean, he's dead?" Oh well. I guess it was too much to hope for anyway.
Also, did she just accidentally hint that the trio survives? It seemed that way.

NOOOOOOOOO..............i love dumbledore he ois one of my favourite characters...i didnt expect him to come back but i think he will somehow help harry on his way to finding voldermort....im really sad bout it as well thoough :(

As for when she said that there's more to Aunt Petunia than what meets the eye, I've always sort of thought so, since, after all, she is the Lily Potter's sister. I think that she was jealous of Lily actually, jealous taht she was so outstanding, that she was a witch. I really think that Jo loves Hagrid bunches, for she always mentions him. I don't blame her, I love Hagrid too. He's kind, and caring, very sweet. Misunderstood, yes, taht too. Can you imagine what a dinner party taht would be? Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, and Hagrid. Positively wonderful,that's what.I think it's funny, how these title pop into Jo's head so unexpectedly. Magical, really, after all, she's ingenius.

I KNEW DUMBLEDORE WAS DEAD. People just can't seem to accept the facts. You can't bring someone back to life, much less never to have killed them at all, when they obviously apeared dead. Well, I don't know. But her answer was pretty obvious to me.

What intrests me more is if theres any way to find out salman rushdies EXACT question so we can figure out weather snapes really good or evil(but my moneys still on evil).
