This morning many Harry Potter fans woke to reports that Warner Bros. had announced a release date of November 21, 2008 for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
You may remember that in March David Heyman mentioned that Half-Blood Prince was set for 2008.
Numerous sites are reporting the release date:
posted a list of movie release dates, pointing out that Warner Bros. had Harry Potter and
the Order of the Phoenix and Ocean's Thirteen as its two major summer releases for 2007. The sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, will be released on November 21st.Please note that no information about the movie, director or actors has been announced. We will update with any news we receive from Warner Bros. in reference to this date. Thanks to everyone who emailed.

They will no sooner finish filming on and start filming another. Rather "Lord of the Rings" like. But you'll have that when children and young adults are your stars and they grow up after all.
Too years tow movies....maybe then if book 7 is released they can film it by 2009 or 2010? Awesome news.

Again, I want the books not the movies, but also wow, thats along time to wait...and the trio aren't getting any younger. They are already starting to look too old.
They need to light a fire under their bums, the movie people I mean.

Like everyone else, I am thrilled to hear this. I don't want to rush them, but I do hope they can get all the movies made while the same cast can be used. I worry a lot about that. It's also good to see that it will be a November release. It seems as though that is the time of year the HP films do the best at the box office. I think that is why Azkaban didn't do quite as well--it didn't get that Thanksgiving weekend boost. However, I do hate the problem of getting to Denver to see the IMAX showing when having to worry about the winter weather. I also am not really looking forward to sitting through Dumbledore's death in public! (I'm dreading Sirius's death on screen even more!).

That's really awesome that they have a release date, but I don't see how they can if they don't have directors, actors, etc confirmed. What if they have trouble getting someone and it delays it? A million things could happen in two years, I think it's way soon to tell when they movie will be released.

Well that is cool. They are keeping up the summer/November release dates. That just means we won't have to wait as long for it. The movies may not be that great, but I still enjoy watching them and correcting them. Haha.
