This morning many Harry Potter fans woke to reports that Warner Bros. had announced a release date of November 21, 2008 for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
You may remember that in March David Heyman mentioned that Half-Blood Prince was set for 2008.
Numerous sites are reporting the release date:
posted a list of movie release dates, pointing out that Warner Bros. had Harry Potter and
the Order of the Phoenix and Ocean's Thirteen as its two major summer releases for 2007. The sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, will be released on November 21st.Please note that no information about the movie, director or actors has been announced. We will update with any news we receive from Warner Bros. in reference to this date. Thanks to everyone who emailed.

It seems a bit premature to announce so categorically that the date for HBP's release would be November 21, 2008. Until we hear directly from Warner Bros. themselves, I will treat this info as a rumor.

I doubt it. They have to look for a director first and thenm all the new cast needs to be set. I wouldn't mind Mr Shayalaman because he did a good job with lady in the water.

Oh my god 2008 isnt that far away i didnt expect HBP to be out until 2009 at least!! It doesnt seem likely that they'll finish that soon though, with all the other movies theyve been two years apart!!! it seems like GOF Just came out and already theyre making OOTP AND HBP!!! but really exiting if they can pull it off and still do a really good job!!!! thats great getting two (or 3 in some cases) HP movies in three years!!!!

Yeah, that date makes perfect sense. I bet they could get it out a month or two earlier ; ) haha, but that's okay. I seriously am dying to see HBP movie, and Ootp hasn't even come out yet!

WHAT?!?! That's almost impossible. With OotP coming out July 2007, and Daniel doing theater after OotP.. how is he gonna get to film HBP by November 2008? But I guess according to the trends that the movies have been coming out.. it has potentials.
