Last week we mentioned
that many entertainment sites had posted a release date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Warner Bros. has confirmed for HPANA that the movie will be released on November 21, 2008, 16 months after Order of the Phoenix.
Even though this is the earliest fans have been given news about an upcoming Potter movie, please note that no additional information has been released - which means no director, no cast and certainly no composer.

I just heard the news today on MTV TRL. I was so excited to hear that half-blood prince would be coming out so soon after order of the phoenix. Though I must admit that i am a bit concerned that it will be sort of rushed... Well, let's all cross our fingers and hope for the very best.

That is going to be one hell of a movie. I hope they do justice to Dumbledore's death scene though, if they mess that up i'm gonna be so mad its not even funny, they probably wont thoug because JKR knows that its a big scene and she can tell them exactly how to do it.

That makes it look like a summer 2008 might be a likely time to release book seven. That amount of time would give Jo plenty of time to write a massive book (hope so!).

Awesome! They've been deciding the release dates very early for the last couple of films. Not that I'm complaining! It just seems so far away. And yet it doesn't seem far enough away because I don't want the series to end.
