In May we reported
that the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD held the Guinness World Record for being the fastest selling DVD of all time.
A recent article from their publication on the feat has an interview with Dan who talks about the best part of being in the movies and when asked what he thought about the world record said:
It's amazing. I'm so grateful to everyone for buying it. All I can say is a great big thank you. It's wonderful!

He got a certificate. That is so nice of them to give it to him. The movie was great so it needed to set some kind of good record. Now going to have to buy the book of records to see it on there.

I find it ironic that the least best (I simply can't bring myself to use the term worst!) film of the series ends up breaking all these records. As a stand alone film it's okay, but had almost nothing to do with the novel--which is one of my most fave of the series. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to be in the minority of the GOF um, non-fans (film NOT novel!). I must admit I did buy it, but only for the extras--and I've yet to watch any of it.

That is a lot of DVDs! Sooner or later they are just going to have to create an entirely new book for all the records broken/set by the HP franchise. It's really rather hard to keep up with it all!
