Harry Potter author JK Rowling has updated
her site to squash part of a recent article that appeared in the press a few days ago. A tabloid paper in the UK quoted Ms. Rowling as saying that "I’m up to about 750 pages now."
JKR posted on her site earlier today:
JKR has written 750 pages of book 7, and told a journalist this at the tea party for 'Driving Lessons'.
Oh pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. I haven't written 750 pages of book seven, and if I had, I'd be very worried, as I'm not close to finishing it yet.
I was at the tea party for Driving Lessons, though, so this isn't pure fiction. The journalist reports that I said that Rupert is 'absolutely terrific' in the film. He is, so that bit shouldn't be in the rubbish bin at all.

I am glad that JKR is on top of all of there rumours. However, it depresses me that she isn't close to finishing Book 7. We fans are all on the edge of our chairs waiting for it.

I wouldn't care if it were 7 or 7500 pages, just as long as it sums everything up for us! So that fact that the journalist misquoted JKR doesn't bother me that way. It does, however, bother me that a "professional" like that feels that they have to make things up or LIE to get press time. Go find another story buddy!!! And don't be so lazy! Just do your job. That's how I feel anyway.

Aw. I was hoping that rumor was true. 750 pages or more would be fabulous. I hope the fact that it's taking a while to write means it'll be really long though. Wouldn't 1000 pages be wonderful? :) That would make me really happy. :)

While I'm looking forward to reading the final book as you are all, that's it, it will be the final book.
So, while I'll be so happy to get my hands on the book, I know I'll feel that way about an HP book for the last time. And while I know I'll want to rush through the pages, each page I turn will be new for the last time. And while I'll be itching to know how it ends, I know that I won't have another year to look forward to.
*dusts hands*
That's it....When I reach that final page, that is the day I will be sad. :( But, hopefully the ending will be as happy as you can get (knowing what's in store for Harry and friends. )
I meant to say that I guess I'm THE only one who's not sad that she's not close to finishing....

I wouldn't mind if it was 750 pages long. There's obvoiusly going to be many loose ends to tie up, as this will be the last Harry Potter book, I don't care if it is 1,750 pages.

well, I wouldn't mind if 750pages was only half way. I can't imagine finishing the book with less than 800 to wrap up all the loose ends. but it is nice to see an update on her page no matter how small.
