In a new interview from the set of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Emma Watson mentions
that she is unsure if she will commit to the remaining films saying: "I don't know yet. Every film is such a huge production, and it's a long time."
She also discusses filming Phoenix, her co-stars, flying and boys.
Do you think you want to be an actress for the rest of your career?
Emma: I don't know. Daniel and Rupert seem so sure. I don't know. I wouldn't want Harry Potter to be the last thing I do. Nothing is ever going to be quite on the scale of this. I appreciate that. And also I've come into acting in such a funny way. Most people who want to act have to sit through hours of auditioning and work their way up, whereas I seemed to have come straight in at the top, having had no experience at all. That's quite a strange position to be in, but amazing at the same time because it has given me so many options and choices. I definitely would like to do other films to see what it's like. I'd really like to try some theater, actually, because I think I would really enjoy that immediate response from an audience. I love making people laugh. I love to perform, but there are so many things I love doing. [Pause] Maybe that seems ungrateful. I have been given such an amazing opportunity, but I'll just have to go with the flow and see what happens.

It would be bad to see someone else as Hermoine. I do hope she decides to do the remaining 2 movies! As far as the future, she is still so young, so she has plenty of time to decide what she will do with her life. If she wants to pursue other interests, that may be a good thing.

But of course she'll do all the films. She's filming the fifth one already and film 6 is in the pipeline so that's 6 out of a possible 7. You'd have to be an idiot to say no to the last movie after doing all the rest.

If she isn't sure if wants to or doesn't want to act, she should try weighing it. I like being part of productions but i find it more entertaining to be part of the crew doing lights or something. Emma, you should try exploring the different parts of making a production.

I really like the interview, she sounds very mature and she's quite right, she's still so young and loves other things next to acting, so why should she become an actress? just because she's a damn good Hermione Granger? ;)

I really hope that it's just her immaturity talking when she says she's not sure about doing the next films. She along with all the others have created an icon with their roles in the films and should consider all of the people who will be devastated and hurt to the core if she turns her back on them. I read that whole interview earlier, hard to believe she just wants to go with the flow even after all the success she's had, but I suppose that lifestyle can get tiring. Good for her to take things by the flow.

She always seems to change her mind but shes right she is really lucky and should respect that. I know they are doing all the harry potters as movies and seeing as dan and rupert want to do them i dont think emma will leave hermione to another actress because shes said she wouldnt like that.
