Oh my word, how truely sad that people are still trying to surpress idea, and information by trying to ban written word. The works listed as the most notorius are some of the greatest works of literature. I cannot believe however that The Catcher in the Rye is not in the top ten any longer, surely Salanger is disappointed. I praise Ms Rowling and all the authors for thier work and thank them for all they have given to society.

I have read the first 4 on the list and the last two (either the book or the series that they belong too) Don't I feel like a little rebel.
Actually why I find it appaling that anyone could like Harry Potter, the constant attention is free publisity. The best one to get someone to do something voluntarily is to tell them not to, it makes them curious.

People are silly. I really don't like the idea of people not approving of their children reading a book (sometimes these people don't even _have_ children of that age) so they go to the schools and ask for the books to be taken away from everybody. A parent should be allowed to decide what their children can't read, they shouldn't be allowed to decide what other peoples' children can't read.

Obvious! Harry Potter just HAD to be number one! I hate the people who have not actually read the books and just banns them because. However, the only thing they actually achieve by doing this is making people curious as to why the books are so challenged and they read them! Hahaha! Exactly the opposite of what they want...

Harry Potter at the top of that list does not surprize me. the others do though. i expected some more controversial books, then again, in reality, HP is not that controversial.
i definately agree about Of Mice and Men, and Fallen Angels (the two on the list I've read). We had parents storm a district board meeting over Fallen Angels.

Whoo hoo! Okay, I know that's not good, but who cares if it's banned? It's still the most popular series on the face of the Earth, so it doesn't matter. Heh, must be really special to be #1 on the most challenged books. :P

Harry Potter should be number one at everything. Im not really sure what "most challenged" means but I hope its good. I think harry potter is one of the best books i've read in my life and they should all be up there. they are amazing books. If it wasn't for Harry Potter I wouldn't read anything else. HARRY POTTER SO ROCKS!
