We've been telling you for a while now that Harry Potter actors Warwick Davis and Dan Radcliffe filmed a segment for Ricky Gervais' show Extras. The episode aired in the UK earlier this evening and you can watch via the BBC2 web site
if you live in the UK. If you live outside the UK you can go here
to view the clip.
Please note that the show contains some strong language and may not be suitable for all.
Thanks to DR.co.uk for the link.

madam scoop says:
I wasn't convinced about Dan doing comedy acting, but I thought he was excellent. Very funny, it had me laughing out loud.
For those confused, he wasn't supposed to be portraying himself as he is in real life so don't worry he's not really a complete prat! I'll leave the explaining of the show to someone else as that was the first one I'v watched - I don't usually find Ricky Gervais that funny in his programmes but it surprised me last night.

Wow, he's certainly playing a completely contrasting character from Harry Potter! It's pretty funny to watch Dan hitting on all these older women. I hope he doesn't actually act like that in real life! I mean, I don't think he does, which is why I found that pretty funny. All the other actors were pretty good too. Too bad I wasn't in Britain; it'd be fun to see a different episode too!

I'd never actually seen the show before, and it was... weird. It was certainly an interesting approach for The Harry Potter. Mind you, the part where the guy starts yelling at him and he calls for his mum was funny. But I think I prefer HP.

Dan's episode was hilarious, I loved the scenes with Diana Rigg and him. So funny!
If you have never seen Extras before, go to youtube and see some clips of previous episodes. They play themselves but with a very distorsionated personality. So for example, Dan who is a very nice and gentleman young boy, plays this character who is all the opposite of how he really is.

I watched the episode on TV last night and it was amazing! I have so much more respect for Dan as an actor after seeing that, he was great and really up for making fun of himself. It was so funny i nearly cried in some places, it was just so compleatly out of character (we hope). Well done Dan!

Stratford2012 says:
Warwick was so funny. Loved it when he said to Dan "Oi, Radcliffe, what do you think you're doing, chatting up my bird?" And when he had that fight with Andy (Ricky Gervais).
And how funny was Dan trying to get Maggie into trouble by saying that she was offering him cigarettes and saying "And she tried to have it off with me". Then he hit on all the other women.
The lady playing Dan's mum WASN'T Dan's real mum btw (Marcia Gresham), she was an actress.
For people that are offended by this type of comedy get a sense of humour, it's only a laugh. If you're offended by sardonic humour then you'll only ever watch bland comedies where you can see the punchlines coming a mile off.

I really think Dan played his part very well and he was really funny throughout, I really hope he can continue to get parts that are outside the Harry potter movies as it will boost his career

You wre warned, Jlgrigsby. No one forced you to watch it. Maybe you should only watch children's comedy. Same goes for anyone else who gets offended but certain types of 'adult' comedy.
