In a recent interview
to discuss her new movie Driving Lessons, Julie Walters from the Harry Potter movies briefly discussed filming on Order of the Phoenix.
Julie discussing a scene from Order of the Phoenix:
Oh yeah, Christmas; we have a very good Christmas. The sets are fantastic; Mark (Williams), who plays Mr. Weasley, said they made his hair stand up on the back of his neck when he walked into one of the rooms. They're just so beautiful, they're amazing.
On working with director David Yates compared to Chris Columbus and Alfonso Cuarón:
He's very unassuming; they were in a way, Alfonso was, but he's fantastic. [David] is very into the emotional truth of it, the kids absolutely love it; he's very sweet and kind, and very, very into the story like a child is. And he's really into the emotional depths, and he's really fantastic, he's a lovely man.

I just love Julie Walters she always gives such nice interviews. I don't think she'll get her wish of Mrs. Weasley defeating LV but it's funny for her to wish it.

Yess!! They have the christmas scene. It sounds lovely! This really should bE really HP from the books, not dark and scary and unlike a HP film(Even though I LOVEd GOF0 but this will be HP..nothing much changed which I love. The spirit of HP should be in it! :D

Mrs. Phineas Nigellus says:
It sounds like Yates is going to make this one good. The thing I look for most in these films is not the content (you couldn't call me a HP purist by any stretch) but how much I want to watch it despite over half being cut. That's what really makes the movie worth it for me.

I still think Chris Columbus did the best with the first two movies. They were just SO like the book it was amazing and he tried his hardest not to cut anything out.

Oh, I like what she has to say for the new director. I'm glad, I hope he does a better job than the last director. I wonder how they feel about doing the same character with different directors.

This is So neat seeing these type of promotions going on. Danial, Warrick, Rupert, Julia, One of the ONLY ones that are missing is Emma. I hope she does something else herself.

Well, that bodes very well! He sounds like such a nice guy! To be honest, I had not expected him to be described like that, knowing the 'heavy, dark' topics of his previous projects. But really, this sounds excellent! And I wish him luck getting the whole movie together!
