News seems to have popped up online stating
that David Yates has been asked to direct Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Mr. Yates is expected to accept the offer, with filming to commence in May 2007, two months before the release of Order of the Phoenix.
We will update this information as soon as we can.

I wonder if this is a good thing, or a bad thing, I mean, this movie is certainly not going to be comfortable, this is smack dab in the middle of Harry's Moody Teenage Year, which I thought he was a little prig for 99% of the book.
Good book elsewise, certainly loved the stuff with the twins!

Uhh cool, isn't he doing OotP? Well, if he is doing both, it could be a good thing. I mean, having the same director twice, that could mean that HBP might be better that OotP, and we already expect OotP to be awesome!

Well it is still specualtion until we hear from WB or the man himself. I think there have been a wonderful team of filmakers on board who have each shown us an intircate part of the magical world, I for one can't wait for film five and look forward to seeing Yate's work.
