News seems to have popped up online stating
that David Yates has been asked to direct Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Mr. Yates is expected to accept the offer, with filming to commence in May 2007, two months before the release of Order of the Phoenix.
We will update this information as soon as we can.

I went and looked at the tip, and it looks totally bogus. They won't have a date for half blood prince yet. Its too soon. Although, I would not be surprised if David Yates does do the next film. That would make the tipper very lucky.

Glad to hear they are starting filming HBP soon. They take so long to make they need to get started asap so they can use the same actors/actresses. Lets hope they can keep up with the 'flow' and film the 7th shortly after that. Need the 7th book though...

Its great that they might not be changing directors this time. Honestly, I dont really like it when they change directors all the time like they have been doing. The styles are all so different and it gets really confusing. Lets hope he is a good director.

It sounds like OotP is going good, so maybe this is good, having David Yates direct the HBP too. Can't wait for OotP.

Sorry for posting twice but I've just realised that a HP director normally only lasts for one year - Same as a DADA teacher. Maybe it's not just the Dark Arts job that Voldemort has cursed!
