Some news about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has appeared in the latest edition of Empire
magazine. In the article, director David Yates states that he has filmed "a movie that's probably over three hours, so I'll have to lose 45 minutes in the edit."
David Heyman mentions a call from JKRowling on the casting of Luna Lovegood and Imelda Stauton states that she is amazed that it took so long for her to be cast in the franchise.

geeesh! Cutting 45 minutes is torture for me! i want everything in there, and who cares if it is too long for those impatient dummies. wouldn't you rather have the whole story? if you arent a fan, then dont go see it. nuff said.

If they HAVE to cut stuff they had better give us the movie version AND the director's cut version on the dvd when it comes out. Phoenix is my favorite of all the books so far and there isn't anything I would want them to cut... they already had to leave things out just to get a screenplay.

That's why I bought the special editions of LOR - over 200 minutes each!!

I dont think ANYONE will complain for a 3 hour HARRY POTTER movie. In Order of the Pheonix there is just TOOOO much important parts of the story to lightly dismiss away. Already they took away Dobbys important scene. I would HATE to have too many more taken away.
