I am glad they are going to have to shorten it. You really see the details that are important that way and they drop the fluff so it may be easier to pick up the clues of what is going to happen in the final book.

I dont see a problem with the movie being over 3 hours long. Cut it in two and put an intermission in it like in the old days. Everone would leave the theatre and have drinks and nibbles in the foyer, for 10 minutes, and then return to their seats and watch the rest of the movie.

We should all get together and form some sort of petition to keep the movie as long as it is because I think they should make longer HP movies in the first place and this would be a great opportunity. Anyone in?

They shouldn't cut much. After all, they already cut the Quidditch scenes.45 minutes is too long! I hope they keep it 3 hours.

Umbridge doesn't look the way I imagined her,but Luna is really sweet.I guess she would pull off her role well, considering she's a big fan.

that is a whole lot of editing off, let's just hope they leave it as long as possible. I am sure no one would mind the length! I mean look at tLotR for goodness sake!

Coolness.

And thanks, for the info.

I wish they would keep the movie long. I hate when they cut too much out. Maybe they can add all the extra footage for the DVD when that comes out!

3 hours is simply TOO LONG. Havent any of you almost gotten bored in the end of Lord Of the Rings; Return Of the King.

Over 2 and a half hour kills a movie.

Keep the movie shorter.

How can we persuade the film companies that movies don't need to be a particular length for fans to attend? Who cares if it's 3 hours 11 minutes 2 seconds long? We'll all go to see it! Sometimes cutting makes the movie worse instead of better because you're inside some magical time limit.

Anyways.....I wouldn't mind it being over 3 hours long, i've seen longer films, and it really doesn't bother me!
Although i must say it is easier to watch a long film at home than in the cinema, at least at home you can move around and pause, whereas in the cinema your bum ends up falling alseep!!! Hee hee hee!!

Nooo, please don't...that's too much, this is the biggest book of the lot so far, so it might as well be a long film! We must all do a protest march...and chant "Don't cut the film! Don't cut the film! Don't cut the film!..."

DAVID YATES, If you, by any miraculous chance of fate, happen to read this post, I ask of you one thing. To not cut anything, ANYTHING from the 3 hours. Fantastic movies in the past have gone over 3 hours, and I think that Harry Potter fans such as myself would be utterly overjoyed at the prospect of 3 hours of the wonderful movie. I want it as long as possible! We can wait! We don't mind :D
