Yates comments on 'Phoenix' running time Popular (11331)

Some news about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has appeared in the latest edition of Empireopens in new window magazine. In the article, director David Yates states that he has filmed "a movie that's probably over three hours, so I'll have to lose 45 minutes in the edit."

David Heyman mentions a call from JKRowling on the casting of Luna Lovegood and Imelda Stauton states that she is amazed that it took so long for her to be cast in the franchise.

Over 3 hours long that is so exciting!!! but what if the 45 minutes taken out is a good part of the movie, seriously I could sit in a theater for 5 hours even and I wouldnt even call it a waste of my time, withan intermission some way through it like MJS said all the Harry Potter fans would be fine including me! I support the idea of an over 3 hour long movie especialy if it is a harry potter movie. -Cianna
