*sigh* I don't really think that Professor Umbridge fits, but I'll have to see her on the screen to know for sure.

We should protest. Beg them NOT to cut 45 minutes!! LOTR was over 3 hours long so what's wrong with OoTP being that long? These people are stupid. Watch, they're going to cut out the most important scenes, I just know it. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have always wished that the HP books could have been filmed as a high quality mini-series. That way, much more material from the books could be included. I wonder which scenes Yates will have to cut.

I hope we get to see those 45 minutes on the dvd.

I think the directors do a wonderful job of cutting out unnecessary scenes.

Eeeeeeh not long now :D
On a completely unrelated note, but I feel it must be said- All Royle FAmily/JK Rowling fans in England, tonight is your night. BBC1 at 9pm is the newest Royle Family, followed by a show called "we love the Royle Family" and it includes JK Rowling! Personally I can't wait to see it.
And I hope not too much is cut out.. The book was the best, and I always get nervous about how much they cut out :(

Yikes - over three hours.
Though i love Harry Potter, then i dont hope it will be that long.

I am of that believe that all films should be 2 hours max.

All over 2 hours should be very good if it is worth watching. A good example is lord of the rings 3: return of the king, that movie was WAY too long. I know that many people agree with me. Therefore i hope that Harry Potter will be between 2 hours and 2 hours and 30 minuttes. If there is much more footage than that, then make it into two movies, just like Kill Bill - though i do not like the thought of that.

WHY would they cut it?! Tons of movies are that long now any way! And come on, who would miss Harry Potter because its 3 hours, hello, look at Lord of the Rings!! And Titanic and all the huge films.. They've all been around three hours! Who cares if the three year olds can't sit through it, they shouldn't be going to a PG13 movie anyhow =P

Also, wow, Jo remembered Evannah! Thats awesome..
