Some news about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has appeared in the latest edition of Empire
magazine. In the article, director David Yates states that he has filmed "a movie that's probably over three hours, so I'll have to lose 45 minutes in the edit."
David Heyman mentions a call from JKRowling on the casting of Luna Lovegood and Imelda Stauton states that she is amazed that it took so long for her to be cast in the franchise.

I`ve read this already but hey! it`s still cool! :)
But 45 minutes.......I suppose they cut all that for the non HP fans.I mean not many people or kids like movies over 3 hours. I wish the HP movies were at least three hours though! and 45 minutes is a lot of things cut! :( I wonder what will be cut.........

I really don't like the way they said that Order of the Phoenix is basically the least favorite of the series. I looove it. It's so good to hate. And I knew that Jo and Evanna had corresponded, but I honestly didn't think that Jo would even remember since she's always so busy. That's really neat.

Yay first page. I hope this film is the longest because there is so much to cover in the book. They better not have those long boring scenes that can be easily replaced with better ones like in GoF.

As allways, it is these little bits that add up to such a fun final product. It is hard to wait until the final one arrives. It will be here soon.

You know, i realy wish they would do extended edition dvds of the HP films like LOTR did...i bet tons of people would be willing to buy them. I know i would. I hate how butchered and choppy the films are in the final version, so much stuff cut out, and it will be even more obvious as the films go on as the books get more complex *sighs* Fingers frossed all the extra scenes are on the dvd :)

MAN I hate this I mean why can't they just keep it at three hours long! This is the longest book in the series cutting out 45 minutes they already cut out quidditch! If Yates keeps it at 3 hours long I will rejoice! Please David please please please just keep it at it's current running time!

Mhh I hope they'll choose the scenes wisely! I'd hate if they took the Scene where Harry and Dumbledore have their "talk" away, that would be mean!
