Voting is now open for the only "public award" category in this years British Academy of Film & Television Arts' children's film and TV awards (BAFTA's
). Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is one of 10 movies vying for the award. Goblet of Fire has also been nominated in the ‘Feature Film’ category.
You can go here

I voted. Go GoF! Although it does have some good competition with Pirates and Ice Age and Narnia. I've seen quite a few of those movies, and they were all very good.

I think the only true competition it has is Narnia, so now you can be assured some other movie will beat it. Just because that's usually what happens when I make a prediction like that.

As a quick side note, I think it's humorous that the side advertisement is for Ice Age when the news post is about voting for a movie up against it. Just thought I'd point that out.

Sorry GOF, I voted for Narnia. *runs and hides*.....

Only once? Oh darn. I would have LOVED to vote five million times... >.> Well, I'll vote for Goblet of Fire - I kinda feel like it's my responsibility to. I hope they win again this year. I remember that time I watched it and it won the Orange or something award, and I saw Emma and this other guy (I'm so sorry, I can't remember) give the thank you speech - that was a happy moment. Too bad Dan wasn't there. Think of that, Dan was studying for his GCSE's at the time. Loong time ago...

I must confess that I didn't vote for GOF. It was a good film, but to my mind had some major drawbacks. Not having seen PotC, I voted for Nanny MacPhee, which I thought was a wonderful and magical film, though I'll be surprided if it wins. I think GOF or PotC will get the prize. I hope Narnia doesn't win, as I don't like the fact that it promotes the message that witches are automatically bad.

It's done! I don't know if it really counts, because the movie is more in 2005 than 2006 but it's my best since a long time anyway so why not win this year?
