The poll helped kick-off Read For 2007: Read For Life:

... the eighth annual worldwide read-a-thon to get kids excited about reading, created by Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education and media company, together with Reading Is Fundamental, the oldest and largest children's literacy organization in the country. That's really cool, I still get that sick feeling in my stomach every time I think of that book, and chapters 11-21!! And the last chapter, when a certain headmaster dies(some people didn't read the book yet!!)

That's not surprising! The Harry Potter books rock! Especially Half-Blood Prince! Hmm...I wonder if JK Rowling can even keep count of all the awards she's gotten? Haha.

Love,

That's awesome! Too bad we didn't have this when I was young, although I loved reading when I was little, so I guess I didn't really need it.

Yes I would have to admit. The half blood prince was the best Harry Potter book I've ever read. Why? Because I'm more so into the more grown up Harry and how this journey is going to play out for him. It has more drama, it's a laugh, and it's dark; and I just love the darkness. All the other books were just Disney's leading up to this point. This one and the previous (Order of the Phoenix) is when it starts to get deep, raw, and down thuggish (or whatever you want call rough little kiddies). That's the way I like it, bring it on J.K Rowling, bring it on!
