Yes! I got the email this morning from Barnes and Nobles saying it was time to preorder. I was so excited! And July 21st is not too far after my birthday! Wow, I guess that means she's almost done. I can't wait to find out what happens to all of the characters at the end. It'll be sad seeing the end of the series though. JK Rowling is an amazing author. I can't wait to see what she does after Harry Potter is over!

How exciting, I can't wait!

OK, so it's not going to be released on the 7th. JKR probably didn't want to release it on the 7th in respect of the London bombings but, like someone else pointed out 7 + 7 + 7 = .....can anyone guess?

YES, 21!

JKR is such a clever lady.

I shall be ready and waiting at midnight to collect both my copies of the childrens and adult additions.

Yeah, still wish it was 7/7/07 but at least they are still giving us all a week of Harry Potter in that the movie comes out on the 13th and then the following Friday we can all go line up at the bookstore for the book that night!!!

But sheesh, there's something strange going on here with this book. A) she announced it as a headline thingy rather than a diary entry saying she has finished; B) and this is really important, the price!!! The largest of the Harry Potter books, Order of the Phoenix, as well as HBP and GoF, had a list price of $29.99 in the US. According to Scholastic, it will be sold at $34.99!!!! Could this mean she has provided us with a gigantic book? Over 1000 pages? PoA was listed at $22.99 and so were SS and CoS. Could it mean that the book is enormous that they need to raise the price? Or, are they just trying to make a killing with the final book because they know people will buy it? I don't care if they want to extort me for money so long as it is the longest book yet!! This is so exciting!
