WB debunks rumors of firing Dan

Due to the recent press coverage of Daniel Radcliffe
's controversial play Equus, the possibility of Warner Bros. firing the actor have triggered the rumor mill. However, the company responsible for the Harry Potter movies have issued an official press release fully supporting Daniel's choice of appearing in the play.
Daniel Radcliffe is an extremely talented actor, as well as a great collaborator and friend to Warner Bros. Pictures. We've had great experiences working with him on our films and fully support him in the artistic choices he makes as an actor.

That's a relief!!! I didn't think it was true, because it would be a really dumb reason to fire a talented actor, just for expanding their career, even if it is sparking controversy. And it would be a really bad choice for WB anyway. They would get so much backlash from firing Dan. A lot of people would be angry if they were to disable Dan from continuing with the Potter series against his will.

Yes it was a very stupid rumor. These movies wouldn't make sense without Dan, he has become the biggest part of their soul.
He is a talented actor who is doing great playing other characters, the normal thing is that they are happy because of it.
And he is more than an actor, he is a very nice person, very intelligent, mature and down-to-earth. It's the perfect image for a movie.

My god people, Grow up. So Dan is in a play where he is naked, big deal. The boy has to grow up. Whatever he is doing outside of Harry, is his choice.
I don't cared what he does outside, as long as he is still doing harry :-). (which thank god he is).
People, just accept that Dan is moving out of the wizard world and continue to enjoy the Harry Potter films. I always will :-).

I think it was really good of WB to say that they completely support what he's doing and shows that they aren't narrow minded people!
