Earlier today Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths, who are currently starring in Peter Shaffer's play Equus on the London's West End, took part in a photocall at the Gielgud Theatre.

The horseback scenes are so clever the way they do them, I'd wondered how they'd make it look realistic, but it does. The black clothing with the horse mask is very effective.

I wonder if they ever thought about making it into a movie with the original cast. I think with all the publicity it is already getting that it could do very well nationally. I would like to see it but my ability to see it either in Britain or broadway is very limited.

I didnt particuarly enjoy lookin at these pictures for one simple reason.......dan's smoking in them. yes i understand its a personal choice, but theres been so much publicity about him "buffing" up and going to the gym to keep fit, when all he is doing is reversing his hard work by puffing on that disgusting cigerette.
My dad smoked all his life and he now is dying of lung cancer. Do any smokers, including dan, think of the effects that the nasty habit has on you and your body?
How many children are going to see these images and think "dan's smoking so it must be cool so im gonna do it too." What a great role model he's turning out to be.

Unfortunately the whole smoking thing is part of the play's character - not Dan trying to be "cool" for the photo shoot. I've seen Equus performed before (many, many, many years ago.... sigh....) and Alan smoked. It's a pity that they had to do that in the press release photos as I agree with you innocent angel - many kids (who are Harry Potter fans) will definitely get the wrong message. I hope Dan releases something on his website regarding this.
Otherwise the photos were...... wow..... ummm... brain gone mushy (and I LOVE the stubble!!).
