According to a report
on an Irish web site, scouts from Warner Bros. have recently visited Ireland viewing possible locations to film Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
The report states that Warner Bros. are interested in finding new locations because they have now exhausted possible locations in Britain.
Of course, as always, please treat this as a rumor until confirmed and we will update accordingly.

Well Ireland has a lot of amazing scenery. The LOTR had filming there as well I thought? Well anyways I'd say that's perfectly plausable. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

well, they could also almost film here in the states but that is a long shot.
I guess they need to stay close to England.

I suppose one of the pivotal scenes would be the Cave scene, I really worry about Gambon's ability to pull that scene off with the appropriate amount of pain and horror...

That would be cool if they shot some stuff there. But I really thought most of the scenes we shot on sets in Leavesden (sp??) Studios.

Ireland has some beautiful coastlines...part of Tristan and Isolde was filmed there, it's gorgeous there! I think I would be ok with that...especially the part at the end when they get the Horcrux.

Ireland is very pretty. I hope they do film there. Have you noticed the Scottish locations always work better than the English ones? I bet it'll be like that for Ireland.

That would be awesome to see new locations, but in the movie world it doesnt matter. You can always FX, have animation and so on to change locations. Half of the scenes are on a set anyway.
