According to a report
on an Irish web site, scouts from Warner Bros. have recently visited Ireland viewing possible locations to film Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
The report states that Warner Bros. are interested in finding new locations because they have now exhausted possible locations in Britain.
Of course, as always, please treat this as a rumor until confirmed and we will update accordingly.

Ireland is beautiful. I bet they found tons of suitable locations. The weather may not always be great though.

This would be great! Ireland is such a beatiful country -- and it would be really nice to have some more variety in the location too I guess. Hope this turns out to be more than rumours... plus it would be really great for the locals.

Gosh, that's so weird. I mean, I'd think that they'd want continuity in the films - I mean, wouldn't they want Hogwarts to be the same in all the movies? I mean, geez, anyways, I like Ireland. Well, I dunno about the country, but I like the accent and Stephen Ireland, so it can't be that bad. Hey, does this mean that loads of the extras are gonna be Irish?

That would be absolutely beautiful. I love Ireland. I think it is so pretty. All of the backgrounds in the Harry Potter movies are always nice to look at. THis would be a good addition.

I bet they are looking for a spot to film cave. Maybe not what happens inside of the cave but a place they can use for the cliff and possibly swimming into the opening. I would think they would want the actors to swim in a pool where they do not have to worry about people getting slammed into jagged cliffs.
