According to a report
on an Irish web site, scouts from Warner Bros. have recently visited Ireland viewing possible locations to film Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
The report states that Warner Bros. are interested in finding new locations because they have now exhausted possible locations in Britain.
Of course, as always, please treat this as a rumor until confirmed and we will update accordingly.

Oooh, that would be cool... even though I live in Northern Ireland, not actual Ireland, but still... it'd be cool :D

Well, I suppose they are going to do the cave-scene in Ireland. They can't do the pensieve-scenes there, they mostly take place in London or Hogwarts.
Ireland is said to be breathtakingly beautiful concerning the landscape, so I have no objections with them filming there.^^

That would be great! I like Ireland, it's a pretty place. It'll be good to have some more places featuring in the films. I wonder which scenes they'll shoot there...

I would agree with Ireland because, really, it's a neighbor of UK, so there's no problem.

Most of the action in HBP is set in Hogwarts,so probably there won't be much scenery to see in the film. Well, except the cave and all that...
Anyway,Ireland is a beautiful country and filming there won't be a bad choice. Especially as they obviously "have now exhausted possible locations in Britain".

That would be nice; change of scenery. It would have been pretty cool if they went to the Czech Republic.

Hmm...it would be interesting if a Harry Potter movie was filmed in Ireland. They did different locations for each movie? No wonder the landscape changed throughout the movies. In the first two movies, Hogwarts and Hagrid's hut were on flat grond, but in the third one, Hogwarts was on a hill and you would walk down to Hagrid's hut.

From the pictures I've seen Ireland is very pretty. If they do film there I'm sure it will work nicely. But then again who knows it could be just another rumor.

What scenes do they need to film in Ireland? The Horcrux cave? Harry and Dumbledore visiting Slughorn? I can't remember any other non-Hogwarts/London/Hogsmeade scenes.

Ireland could work as a location, and as the grounds of Hogwarts change with each movie it doesn't really matter if they are a little more different this time.
