Later tonight in the UK Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe will appear
on the first show of the new season of Friday Night With Jonathan Ross on BBC1. Dan will discuss his most recent role in Equus as well as the Harry Potter movies.
Dan on taking the role of Alan in Equus:
It’s not that I want to distance myself from Harry Potter, the whole point of doing something different is to show that you can, so hopefully it’s achieved that... in any case, given this opportunity, you would be really dumb to turn it down.
Dan on the Harry Potter movies:
I’m going to do all seven, I was 11 at the start and I’ll be 20 by the end... I genuinely think these films have got better and better.
Thanks to Ryan and Marie for the link and if you have a chance to capture the show please let us know.

Oh I cant wait to see the interview! I think its a bit funny that he is going to be 20 when he finishes, that is a bit old. But we must remember that makeup works wonders!
Haha, the interview was Increadibly funny! I couldnt stop laughing for most of it! Oh and daniel looks so good!

Actually it's all the countrary, it's not old. We are used to see actors in their tweenties or older playing teens in movies and tv series. Dan will be only 19 when filming the last movie (he will 20 when it is released) so he will be still a teen playing a teen, which is amazing, something I think it's the first time in hystory that a teen play the main role in a 7 movies series. Some of the other actors will be a little older, but like I said we are used to see strangest things.

People would be very stupid if they do that loopy_looney (you have a very lovely avatar!!), everyone has to understand he is an actor (and a very versatile and good one). So if someone is so stupid that doesn't understand this, then I prefer if they don't see the movies, they don't deserve it! :P

I watched it last night. It was so funny. Dan was so cute and very mature at the same time. He dealt with the more difficult questions extremely well. I was in a fit of laughter with what Jonathan said at the beginning of the interview. I'm glad he thought Dan was fantastic in his play. Dan rocks!
P.S. What the hell was Jonathan doing on his desk? I had to cover my eyes at that part.

Your wellcome! I think Dan doesn't talk about that in the interview with Jonathn Ross, but it seems BBC did another interview after the show, which is the one HPANA posted yesterday and where he talks about that. :)

I heart HP92, after seeing the video you'll understand why he can not shave at the moment, it's for the play. He says he doesn't like it and will shave when it's finished. But I actually like it, so maybe in the future we can see him playing other role with beard, hey maybe Harry gows a beard in the last book! hehe
But people should stop saying the actors what they should do with their lloks, they are free, let them do whatever they want, don't you think? :D

Of course they have gotten better-they move with the books and obviously the books have gotten exceedingly better. He looks so grown up, it's hard to picture him or any of them as the little 11 year olds that they were. I think that I'm going to go and watch the first one tonight.

I'm so glad that he decided to stick with the Potter films for the rest of them. And I really wish that I had a chance to see him in his play, but, alas, it isn't going to happen.

So the age gap between Daniel Radcliffe and the character he plays won't be as expansive as some fear come the end of the series. This news should relieve some. This difference isn't nearly as large as it is for Tom Welling and Clark Kent in Smallville.

That was an awesome interview, and so hillarious!! I couldn't stop laughing through it, Dan is an awesome guy - I love him to bits! And i don't mind the "crap on his chin" (haha) but he does look hotter without it.
I can remember Dan's last Jonathan Ross interview about a year ago, that one was hillarious too, when he played the match of the day theme on his cheeks! Its one of my favourite interviews of him, he's so cute in it!
But I loved this interview, and everything Dan discussed about HP and Equus, He's doing great so far and i wish him all the best!
Hmm..It was weird that Dan hadn't seen the trailer - But i love how excited he gets when he says he hasn't seen it yet, hehe.. ^_^
Can't wait to see him OotP!!

As an actor Daniel has to do different things. He has to do them now as a child star not later on. Even though he will still do all HP movies...You are to see the character, and enjoy the character, not judge what the actor does to survive.
