The soundtrack for the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie will be released on Tuesday, July 10 in the U.S. and is now available
for pre-order through Amazon for $18.98.
The score for the movie was done by Nicholas Hooper, which HPANA exclusively announced
back in April of last year. At this time no additional information has been released as to the contents but we will be sure to update as soon as we hear anything.
Thanks to Matthew for the news.
UPDATE: Thanks to every one who let us know that you can also order the soundtrack via Amazon UK here
and for those in Canada here

I don't think I'd want to hear the soundtrack before seeing the movie. I think it might give away key moments.

That is wierd and cool that you can already order it. I think I'd rather see the movie though before I think about getting the CD.

I have never bought a soundtrack before but this go round, I feel the need to buy everything that comes out. So needless to say I am interested in purchasing it. This film is making me a little crazier than the others, favorite book and all that.

I don't think I'd pre-order the soundtrack before I've seen the movie...
Anyway,I loved the previous soundtracks, especially the songs "Double Trouble" from PoA and Weird Sisters' "Do The Hippogriff" from GoF. =]
I expect an even better soundtrack for OoTP with the movie being darker and more emotionally complicated than the previous ones.

Cool! I hope there more diverse music on the soundtrack as well as the classical score. From what I have heard, it sounds great. I might get it when it comes out in the UK (although I'm not a classical music fan).

mmmm, I don´t know. I wouldn´t pre-order the soundtrack.
What if I don´t like it that much, after all?
I´ll wait until I´ve seen the movie, then I can buy the CD if I want to.

It's funny, the more that I see out to buy for Harry Potter, the more I realize that the only thing that I really do is read the books. I find them more interesting than the products, really.

I'm not usually a big fan of soundtracks. I've never actually listened to the Harry Potter soundtrack. I guess I should give it a chance before I say I don't like it. It might be good. I do like the theme.

I'm a little traumatized from the bad soundtrack for GoF. I know it is John Williams again, so it's probably gonna be good, but...

Pema, double-check the news (the score is the background music the composer writes for the movie). It is NOT John Williams, it is Nicholas Hooper.

I love the HP Soundtracks. I had to go on hiatus b/c I was starting to get way too obsessed with HP; imagining about the scenes in the books, the musicality of the instruments. In GOF, Great horn section. Love the flute in Rita Skeeter. Great powerful moments when needed. I wish I was a part of the orchestra. I will always be a band geek.
