'OotP' soundtrack ready for pre-order

The soundtrack for the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie will be released on Tuesday, July 10 in the U.S. and is now available
for pre-order through Amazon for $18.98.
The score for the movie was done by Nicholas Hooper, which HPANA exclusively announced back in April of last year. At this time no additional information has been released as to the contents but we will be sure to update as soon as we hear anything.

I love the HP Soundtracks. I had to go on hiatus b/c I was starting to get way too obsessed with HP; imagining about the scenes in the books, the musicality of the instruments. In GOF, Great horn section. Love the flute in Rita Skeeter. Great powerful moments when needed. I wish I was a part of the orchestra. I will always be a band geek.

That sounds cool...but I don't think I'll be pre-ordering it...I'd rather read the book :D it's fun taking your time reading it...and getting into the story i love that part of reading HP :D it's really interesting and it's so addictive that you'll keep reading it :D <3

I like this idea, It's like you get a sneak snippet of the movie as the music really helps the movie tell the right story.
It'll be a good game to guess what music went with what part of the book (If the titles didn't give it away)

Oh Pema, don't be so downbeat. For me, the best HP scores happened to be the odd-numbered ones (SS and POA), while the weaker ones were even-numbered (COS and GOF). I think Nicholas Hooper will do a really good job -- this is his first major film score project and given the track record, usually up-and-comer composers rarely disappoint on their first projects. David Arnold hit it out of the ballpark with his "Stargate" score, Douglas Pipes did a charming score for "Monster House", James Horner did a splendid job with "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" and most famously, John Williams shot to fame with his score to "Star Wars".

I always enjoy listening to the sound tracks from the movies. One of my favorite songs was the "Something wicked this way comes" song from one of the previous movies. I wonder which songs they will be putting on the new soundtrack.
