Just a few hours ago we posted some new images from the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie, which will appear in Entertainment Weekly
on Friday.
The issue
features three different covers with Harry, Hermione and Ron, all the information you need to know about the movie, quotes from Daniel Radcliffe and director David Yates and a quiz to test your Harry Potter knowledge.
One article mentions that Mr. Yates has been tapped to direct Half-Blood Prince, although nothing has been finalized yet and that the producers state that the movie will be two and a half hours, the shortest in the series to date.
Or you can start reading the articles here
and here
for the list of characters, all on the EW site.
Thanks to Tammara via DR.co.uk
for the scans.

That is really interesting to read. But I can't believe there isn't going to be any quiddich in the movie. I was really looking foward to that. Plus it's hard to believe that it's going to be the shortest harry potter movie yet, I mean it was the longest book.

I am sooooo sad that I can't find Ron anywhere. I've contacted even the major booksellers to the local markets and NOTHING!!!
All of my buddies in Ron fandom from around the country can't even get him. It's all Harry and Hermione.
OK, I shouldn't be surprised (due to past issues) but come on. He really should be just as available.
Ron does have fans regardless of what the media and WB thinks....
*sigh*
If anyone has spotted a Ron issue, please do tell.

If the movie is two and half hours then really it's not the shortest because POA is only 2 hours and 20 minutes. the rest of them are all over two and half hours.

I'm going to miss the parts that they left out of the movie. I guess they didn't need to be there, but I will still miss them.

Ohmygosh I should be getting it soon!!! I hope I get the cover with Ron on it. He's my favorite.
HBP is definitely not the longest book, but 2 1/2 hours?! That's not good enough! If they cut lots of good parts out just to keep it within those parameters, I will be furious.
All I can say about Yates directing HBP is that he had better do a good job on OotP. Or he'll be out of a job. We HP fans are picky and influential people, you know. ;)

The pictures are just spectacular! I went and read all five pages of that article; very interesting that people would gather the audacity to tell dan and the trio that they're getting too old to play their parts...
