Scholastic announced
back in March news of their publicity campaign for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and let fans know that they will be posting 7 questions for voting and discussion. The first question, released today, is "Who will live, Who will die?"
You can vote here for your choices:
Harry Potter
Lord Voldemort
Snape
Ginny
Ron
Hermione
Neville
Hagrid
Draco Malfoy
Someone Else/Other
The next question will be released on May 1st.
7 Questions of Harry Potter campaign - Beginning on April 17 2007, Scholastic will release one question every two weeks. These are the big questions fans debate at great length online, at book clubs and in everyday conversations, and that they hope J.K. Rowling will answer in this final installment. The questions will be posted on scholastic.com and released through advertising and publicity outlets. The final question will be released on July 7th.
UPDATE: Thanks to TLC for letting us know that Scholastic have created their own YouTube page with news on the last book. You can go here & view 2 videos on the book.

I'm afraid there will be several deaths in this book, some of which are being ignored by the HP fan community. But they're all just in denial. Well, they'll see when it comes, I'm afraid.

Yeah, er, do that many people really think Voldemort will live?! I am pretty shocked by that! I thought there would be many more who think Harry will die as well. Not that the majority would think Harry will die, but a lot more than the poll reflects at the moment. Yeah, JKR has said several main characters will die and this list is of the main characters so we have to admit to ourselves that several of those listed are goners. I think there is a lot of wishful thinking going one here, guys! Not everyone is going to make it.

I only axed of LV and someone else. I don't want any of my favorite characters to die. I am sure some of them will be seriously injured and unable to fight but that they will live.

Okay i just voted and based on the results it seems as if everyone is in denial and think that no one will die. Seriously, no one wants it to happen, but not one character, even voldemort, had a majority thinking that he or she would die.

*sighs* Such a difficult question... I had a hard time deciding on my answer for Harry. The results surprised me... I was expecting a larger percentage of people to vote LV for dying. Though there were probably people that voted 'lives' for all of the characters.

Also.....it's interesting to know who people think will die, i personally think ginny, voldemort and someone else will die, ginny, becuase this is just a personal theory......although quite deep.....make sense (well to me anyways!)
voldemort becuase i need to have hope that harry will live!!
and someone else, meaning i'm not sure, but perhaps....i have this sinking feeling, it may be dobby......or .......mcgonigal (sp?)........don't know why....but we will see!

I voted! I said that Voldemort, Snape and Hagrid would die...sorry Hagrid, as much as I (and I am sure, everyone else) DO NOT want you die, I have a bad little feeling. :( Snape - well come on he has been nothing but pure evil throughout the whole series, he deserves to die. There will be sad deaths but there has to be some good ones, too! As for Voldy, well, I just hope he does and I think that Harry will defeat him once and for all!
And I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally hope that Lupin survives...I will be so sad if he dies.
